I’ve had tons of hits over the past few days from people looking for information about the Horribles Parade, so here it is, along with our walk through the neighborhood after. Those Willows residents know how to celebrate! The parade was delayed a day because of Hurricane Arthur’s track up the coast but today was absolutely beautiful. If we ever leave our spot up here “on the hill” we’re moving to the Willows!

There’s No Place Like Salem Willows On the 4th!
We had our annual 4th of July visit and trek through the Willows neighborhood this morning. The decorations, the people and the party are all awesome! It’s so much fun because the whole neighborhood and lots of us from the rest of the city come out to enjoy the parade, the scenery and each other. We met our good friends, took a walk and had a relaxing pizza lunch under the willow trees. Tonight we’ll all head back downtown for the fireworks. Check out the great houses, beautiful views and happy people….
We love our 4th of July celebration here in Salem, Massachusetts!
Happy Independence Day!
Enjoy everything!

The Fourth of July at Salem Willows
We are back from our road trip just in time for the 4th of July in Salem! We got up early this morning and headed down to the Willows neighborhood for their annual Horribles parade and party. There’s no place else like the Willows on the fourth of July. The whole neighborhood has a party and many of us who live in other parts of the city go down to enjoy it too.
Here’s our friend, Jane Dionne!
Of course there was music..
and some social/political commentary.
The Secret Service were there
like you’ve never seen them before
The “mayor” marched too, as she does every year…
The game theme was fun and creative.
There were red drinking cups… I think I kind of missed the message here, leave a comment if you can help me with that. They were having a great time!
The decorations are amazing!
beautiful
and fun!
It’s a party like no other!
Happy Fourth! Tomorrow there may be fireworks, let’s hope that my camera works..
I’m so happy to be home and blogging again!!
